With the belief that live theatre has become an endangered species Wingspan Productions seeks to ensure that audiences experience live theatre’s transforming qualities. Through new work as well as remountings of classic plays and musicals Wingspan Productions will explore the relationship between character and consequence.
On February 3rd, 2010 Wingspan Arts will host an evening of local bands at The Delancey on the Lower East Side to benefit Wingspan’s Free Summer Theatre Conservatory. The evening will include performances by JDT, The Wind Up, The Flying Machines and The Lisps. An hour of free beer will be available from 7pm-8pm. Doors open and performances begin at 7pm and run until 11PM.
Tickets are $20 and available at

Wingspan Arts is seeking submissions for our
Mondays in May Reading Series
Submission Deadline APRIL 15, 2010
Open readings of selected material will take place in NY in May 2010.
Wingspan looks for work that supports our mission of connecting the arts to life. While we do not look for work that involves a specific theme we are looking for plays that push the boundary of the everyday- stories that have the power to change consciousness.
Since we are a producing organization, as well as an arts education company we are seeking plays that are adult in theme and content, as well as TYA pieces.
Submission Guidelines:
Cover letter with brief play description
Full-length script (run time of at least 75 minutes)
Maximum of 6 actors
Minimal Set
Previously un-produced in NYC in its current form (previous readings OK)
Musical or Non-Musical (Musical Submissions MUST include a CD)
Material will not be returned.
